I never get tired of this question, because it tells me everything I need to know: you haven’t tried it yet!

I’ve taught kickboxing, step aerobics and even kettlebell. There’s a reason I‘ve been consistent with my bellydancing for over 15 years.

I could go on about how belly dance helped me lose 100 lbs, or about how its helped my personal life 🤣 but let’s talk about why belly dance is so different from other forms of exercise:

✨Gentle on the joints

Body movements are gentle and natural to the body. Most movements are fairly intuitive. This means you don’t have to worry about jumping or holding your bladder during class…

🎉 Great for pelvic floor health

As I alluded to earlier, belly dance can be fantastic for your pelvic floor. And your overall posture, really

🤩 Core, core and more core

Belly dance fitness uses your core in so many different ways. It doesn’t feel like a core workout but you’ll feel it after class. What’s better? No crunches or sit-ups! Your core is engaged and working throughout the entire class. This is especially great for low back health too.

🌸 Balance

Belly dance is done barefoot! This means you will develop whole body balance and foot flexibility too. Don’t know what foot flexibility is? You need to try one of my classes. We start each class with a foot warm-up.

🌴Pure Joy

Belly dance is fun! I’ve never seen a client leave without a smile. I promise you will enjoy this class. I’ve taught ages 4-80 and I’ve taught people of all ages and fitness levels. I’ve even taught this class pregnant!

So if you’re still wondering if this workout is for you, the answer is YES!

Have you taken my class before? Please leave a note of why you enjoy belly dancing. Hope to see you soon!
